2016: The deadline for registration to the 8th ISFE in Gothenburg (Sweden) is approaching.
PhD students wishing to receive support from the ISFE must apply by sending a single PDF providing:

a motivation letter signed by themselves
a letter from their supervisor
the proof of their registration to the ISFE meeting
the abstract submitted to the ISFE meeting
Please note that only PhD students whose supervisor is registered to the ISFE are eligible to receive support for registration.

Also note that, at the present stage, support would be limited to covering the registration fees.

Depending on the financial situations we might be able to provide travelling grants.


Reimbursement will be made by cash in Euros during the meeting.

Priority will be given to PhD students over postdocs.

​Scientific program and venue: An overview of the 3 ½ day scientific program, including 14 topical oral sessions, 2 poster sessions, and 5 major overview lectures, is found athttp://8isfe.se/scientific-program/

The 8ISFE venue is the modern Lindholmen Conference Center in central Gothenburg

Registration: This is a reminder that the deadline for the 8ISFE registration is April 30th. The registration portal is at http://8isfe.se/registration-hotel/registration/

Hotel booking: Hotel booking can be made independently or through the registration portal. Gothenburg is an attractive destination for summer tourists and early hotel booking is recommended.

Financial support: There is a reduced registration fee for students and postdocs who can also apply for some further financial support from the International Society for Fish Endocrinology at http://isfendo.com/the-meetings/upcoming-meetings/8th-isfe-in-2016/

Abstract submission: The abstract submission form can be downloaded from http://8isfe.se/abstract-submission-form/ at any time, but abstract submissions are accepted from registered participants only.

Social events: There is a half-day boat cruise / sightseeing excursion along the Swedish coast,

Dr. Penny Swanson
Environmental Physiology Program Manager, Environmental and Fisheries Sciences Division, Northwest Fisheries Science Center, NOAA- Fisheries, Seattle, WA, USA.
The nomination deadline (December 31 2015) is fast approaching for the RE Peter lecture, the Y Nagahama lecture, and the Lifetime Achievement Awards (see http://www.8isfe.se for details).
