Deadline: February 1, 2012
Start: August, 2012
Dr. Haruka Wada is seeking MSc and PhD students with interests in physiology and behavioral neuroscience.
The primary goal of her lab will be to explore how maternal programming, beyond itsgenetic contribution,
interacts with postnatal environment to shape offspring’s health. Using integrative approaches, the lab examines
how maternal cues and nutritional, social, and toxicological stress alter developmental trajectory, physiological
and behavioral traits in birds, incorporating behavioral endocrinology, immunology, neuroscience, and field biology.
We have a very exciting department at Auburn with several labs focusing on physiology, behavior, and evolution
of birds and amphibians. The details about the Department of Biological Sciences at AuburnUniversity
